• Launch Mac Mail from the Mac dock.

• SSL must be turned off – please disable SSL if one or both of these are turned on.

Setup or Configure Aussie Email on Microsoft Outlook 365

This is a guide using the newer version of Outlook. Older versions are similar in appearance and layout, but some things may be different, which you should be sure of.

• To get to this section in Outlook, open the application and navigate to ‘File’ in the top left corner.
• Click on the ‘Add Account’ button to start the process.
• Enter email account information details, when click ‘Add Account’ button on the previous image.
• Fill out the name, it is only for your reference, email address, password and password again.
• Then make sure they are selecting/filling the ‘Manual Setup or additional server types’ and hitting the ‘Next’ button.
• Setup manual configuration settings.
• When clicking ‘Next’ as per the previous image, this is the screen you are presented with.
• Ensure incoming and outgoing mail servers are set to mail.aussiebroadband.com.au, and that the login information is filled.
• Enter username the whole email address, password is the email address password.
• Once this info is filled out, then click ‘More Settings’ button.
• Tap ‘Outgoing Server’ tab at the top of the window, and ensure ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’ and ‘Use same settings as my incoming mail server’ are ticked.
• Click on the ‘Advanced’ tab at the top of the window, and that the following settings are in place.
• For those setting up an IMAP account, the Incoming Server section port 993.
• Click finished and tap save.
