What is Hover Webmail?

Hover Webmail is works with the email applications you already use. You can setup to send and receive email on Apple Mail, Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird on your computer and any devices of the popular apps on your iOS or Android phone or tablet. This Webmail is also there for you when you need to access your mail from any current web browser.

The Email is billed yearly, tie your mailbox expiry date to your domain name so you never have to worry that one will renew without the other. If your expiry date is less than a year away, they prorate the cost when you add a mailbox to that domain.

Hover Webmail Sign in

You must have your email address and password to login or sign in to Hover Webmail. You can sign in to Hover Webmail using the steps below.

• First Open this webpage link mail.hover.com.
• Enter email address and password, in the box.
• Tick Keep me logged in until I log out option.
• And last click on the ‘Login’ button.

How to Reset Hover Webmail Password?

Here are two ways to reset your hover email password, as detailed below.

Reset password through Hover account

• Sign in to your Hover Control Panel.
• Select Email from the navigation bar and click Edit next to the email account you want to reset the password on the right side of your screen.
• Choose Edit password.
• Edit Password In the pop-up window, enter your new password.
• Choose on Passwords must include:
  – At least 10 characters in length
  – At least 1x number, symbol and uppercase letter

Updating password through webmail

• Sign in to Hover webmail.
• From your inbox view, click on the Settings icon from your account’s toolbar.
• From the Settings menu, click on Password, followed by Change Password.
• You will need to enter both your current password and your updated password twice.
• Select Save to complete your password update.
• Choose on Passwords must include:
  – A minimum 10 characters in length
  – At least 1x number, symbol and uppercase letter

Fixing Hover login issues

If you forget your hover username or your account password, a password reset or username reminder email can be sent to the primary and backup email address you have Hover account.

Send yourself a username reminder

• Select Forgot username? from the sign-in page.
• Enter the email address associated with your Hover account in the text box and then click Send.
• If you enter an email that is not the primary email address on your hover account, you will see a message indicating the email address ‘not found’.
• Displays an email confirmation message for confirmation.
• You will receive an email with a subject line hover username reminder containing your hover username.
• If you have more than one account associated with your email address, the message will list all your usernames.
• Follow the link on the sign-in page or manually paste the link into your browser’s address bar.
• Log in using the username from the email you received and your associated password.

Send yourself a password reset email

• Click Forgot password? from the sign-in page.
• Enter the username associated with your Hover account and click Send.
• An email sent confirmation will display.
• You will receive an email with the subject line Reset your Hover password.
• Click Reset your password in the email message.
• Password reset lists your username for reference and is only valid for one hour.
• Type a new password for your Hover account into the text box then click Continue.
• Your password must meet the following requirements:
  – A minimum of 10 characters
  – At least one upper case and one lower case letter must be included
  – Must include a number
  – You will be logged in directly in the activity section of your hover account
  – Your password has been reset will display as confirmation
  – Must include a special character

Troubleshooting

• Make sure your entries have no typos.
• Make sure you’ve entered the saved email address as the contact email address for hover renewal reminders and other messages.
• The email address may be different than the one you manage through your hover account.
• You can try adding help@hover.com to your emails trusted senders list if you are having trouble receiving these emails.

Setup Mail server settings for Hover email clients

Hover Mailboxes can be used on your computer or smartphone with email clients such as Outlook or Apple Mail. They support IMAP or POP Server connection. All you need is the correct password for the email address and the mail server settings for configuration.

IMAP server settings

• Username: The full email address (Ex: me@mydomain.com)
• Password: Password for the email address
• Incoming mail server hostname: mail.hover.com
• Outgoing (SMTP) mail server hostname: mail.hover.com

POP server settings

• Username: The full email address (Ex: me@mydomain.com)
• Password: Password for the email address
• Incoming mail server hostname: mail.hover.com
• Outgoing (SMTP) mail server hostname: mail.hover.com

IMAP, POP, and SMTP server ports

• IMAP incoming port:
  – SSL Enabled: 993
  – SSL Disabled: 143
• POP incoming port:
  – SSL Enabled: 995
  – SSL Disabled: 110
• SMTP outgoing port:
  – SSL Enabled: 465
  – SSL Disabled: 25,587 or 8025

How to Setup Hover Webmail on Android?

• Go to the Android Home screen and open an Email or Gmail app, this setup may vary depending on the model and version.
• If you already have other email accounts in this app, go to the menu from the top 3 lines and tap Settings.
• Click Add Account.
• Tab Other into Setup email section.
• Enter your hover.com email address then click Manual Setup.
• Select IMAP account.
• Enter the following details on incoming server settings.
  – Username: Your email address is your username
  – Password: Your account password
  – IMAP server: mail.hover.com
  – Security type: SSL (make sure SSL encryption is enabled for incoming mail server)
  – Port: 143
• Click Next Button.
• Enter the following details on the outgoing server settings.
  – SMTP server: mail.hover.com
  – Port: 587
  – Security type: SSL (make sure SSL encryption is enabled for outgoing mail server)
• Click Next Button.
• Select the email check frequency (preferably every 15 minutes).
• Give your account name and Press Done.
• Congratulations Finished, Now you can send and receive Hover email on your Android device.

How to Setup Hover Webmail on iPhone Devices?

• Go to iPhone settings option.
• Scroll down and tap the Mail, Contacts and Calendars option.
• Choose to add an account available under iCloud tagging and tab others (another option only if your hover.com email provider is not mentioned here).
• Choose Add Mail Account and enter.
  – Name: Your Name (Whatever you want)
  – Email: Your email address is your username
  – Password: Your hover.com account password
  – Description:
• Click Next Button.
• Choose IMAP under incoming mail server and enter as follow.
  – Hostname: mail.hover.com
  – Username: Your email address is your username
  – Password: Your hover.com account password
• Enter the following details under Outgoing Mail Server.
  – Hostname: mail.hover.com
  – Username: Your email address is your username
  – Password: Your hover.com account password
• Click Save Button.
• Go to settings > Your Hover account > Advanced and enter details under incoming settings.
  – Use SSL: Yes
  – Authentication: Password
  – Server Port: 143
• Enter the following details under outgoing settings.
  – Use SSL: Yes
  – Authentication: Password
  – Server Port: 587
• Congratulations Finished, Now you can send and receive Hover email on your iPhone device.

Setup or Configure Hover Webmail Account on Outlook

You’ll find a step-by-step process for hovering Outlook settings and Outlook software, in addition to an overview of the basic email settings for hover.com.

• Start Outlook software, click the File tab at the top of the corner, and then click Add Account.
• Select Manual Setup or Additional Server Types and click Next.
• Select POP or IMAP (connect to a POP and IMAP email account) option.
• Enter the following details on POP and IMAP Account Settings page.
• User Information:
  – Your Name: Whatever you want.
  – Email Address: Enter your email address.
• Server Information:
  – Account Type: Select IMAP
  – Incoming mail server: mail.hover.com
  – Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.hover.com
• Logon Information:
  – Username: Your email address is your username
  – Password: Your account password
  – Tick Box: Check Remember password.
  – Require logon using secure password authentication: Yes
• Click Next Button
• Wait for Outlook fetch all mails.
• Congratulations Finished, Now you can send and receive Hover mail on your Outlook software.
