To log into webmail on Cloud Hosting, please use the following steps:
- First click here to log into Cloud Hosting’s Webmail interface.
- Enter your email address.
- Enter your email accounts password.
- Click ‘Login’.
- Your Webmail will now load.
cPanel Hosting Webmail
To log into webmail on cPanel Hosting, please use the following steps:
- Log into your MyAccount.
- Under Manage Services, click View Webhosting Services.
- On the next page, click on the domain name’s cPanel Hosting product.
- On the next page, click Manage Service.
- A new window will load, click cPanel, this will load the full cPanel interface.
- Under the Mail category. Click on the first icon, ‘Email Accounts’.
- Find the email address you wish to log into and click on ‘More’.
- Select Access Webmail.
- Type in your email account’s password.
- Choose your webmail client, and Melbourne IT recommends Horde.
- Finally select your language and click ‘Login’.
If you have correctly setup your DNS records or are pointed to cPanel’s Hosting’s name servers, you visit webmail.your-domain.extension and enter in your email address and email password.
Forgotten or Reset Melbourne IT Email Password
In order to reset the Melbourneit mailbox password, first you’ll need to login to The Console. If you are unsure how to do this, please see the below steps guide:
- Log into your regular Melbourne IT Email MyAccount.
- Under Manage Services, click View Webhosting Services.
- Click on the domain name’s Cloud Hosting product.
- On the next page, click Manage Service.
- Now you’re inside the Console you can manage your hosting.
Now that you are inside the Console, follow the below steps guide to change/ reset a mailbox password:
- Click on Configure Account on the left hand side menu.
- Select the mailbox you want to change.
- Enter the new password. Passwords must contain one each of the following: Upper and Lowercase letters; Numbers and Special characters.
Once you have completed the above steps, you will have changed your mailbox password. Please use the new password when setting up your mail client or logging into Melbourneit webmail.
Melbourne IT Webmail IMAP, POP and SMTP Server Settings
All email software and devices, such as Microsoft Outlook, Android devices and iPhone and iPad devices, connect to the email servers using the exact same settings.
Follow the steps below to make Melbourne IT’s email server settings.
Username
- Where asked for the username, users must enter their complete email address, Example johnsmith@yourdomain.com.
Password
- Where asked for their password, users must enter the password they selected when creating the email account on the servers, Example, rtecg*/Tyc23&(*844$5.

- SMTP: smtp.yourdomain.com

- SMTP: mail.yourdomain.com
- Office 365 Server
- SMTP: smtp.office365.com
Outgoing Server Port
Most Internet Service Providers (ISP) block port 25 for their own outgoing emails. They recommend using port 587 or if connecting via SSL, 465.
- Non SSL = 587
- SSL = 465
Authentication Type
- Users must use password authentication to send or receive emails from the servers, Example Password.
How to Setup Melbourne IT Webmail on Android?
Android has various versions and interfaces so please be note, your phone may look different from the screenshots below. See the guide below for setting up Melbourne IT Webmail on an Android device.
- Go to Settings on your phone.
- Scroll down to Add Account.
- Select Email or POP3, If you are using IMAP please select IMAP. Most people will be using POP.
- You will have to enter your email address & password.
- Incoming mail settings:
– For the username field use your full email address & enter your mailbox password in the password field.
– For the server field enter pop.yourdomain.com, by default the port will be set for 110.
– If you see a field labelled security type, ensure it is set to None. - Outgoing mail settings:
– Your outgoing SMTP Server should be set to smtp.yourdomain.com.
– Ensure the port is set to 587 and security type is set to none.
– For the username field use your full email address & enter your mailbox password in the password field. - Below, you can find a table with all of the information you’ll need in one place:
– Your Name: Enter your Name.
– Email Address: Enter your full email address.
– Incoming mail server: POP = pop.yourdomain.com, IMAP = imap.yourdomain.com.
– Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.yourdomain.com
– User Name: Enter your full email address
– Password: Enter your mailbox password
– Incoming Port: POP = Normal 110, SSL 995 and IMAP = Normal 143, SSL 993.
– Outgoing Port: Non SSL = 587, SSL = 465 - If your using 3G/4G internet provided by your Mobile Carrier.
- Occasionally they may prevent you from using us as your SMTP/Outgoing Mail server.
- Melbourne IT Webmail is now set up on your Android.
Setting up Cloud Melbourneit email on iPhone’s & iPad’s
To setup POP or IMAP email on an Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, please follow the steps below:
- From the home screen of your iPhone/ iPad, press the Settings icon.
- Then select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Now select Other.
- You’ll prompted to fill in the settings to connect to your mailbox:
– Your Name: The name to be displayed when sending email.
– Address: Your email address, e.g. yourname@yourdomain.com.
– Password: The password used for this email account.
– Description: Any text description. - Once you’ve completed this, hit Next.
- The device may now attempt to automatically connect to the server.
- If this fails, you’ll be prompted with another screen to add some more information.
Follow the below guides if this happens
- On this screen, select POP or IMAP, depending on your preference.
- Scroll down the screen, and complete the Incoming Mail Server settings:
– Host Name: pop.yourdomain.com, if connecting via POP or imap.yourdomain.com, if connecting via IMAP.
– Username: Your full email address, eg. yourname@yourdomain.com.
– Password: The password to your email address. - Continue to scroll down, and now complete the Outgoing Mail Server settings:
– Host Name: smtp.yourdomain.com.
– Username: Your full email address, eg. yourname@yourdomain.com.
– Password: The password to your email address. - Once you’ve completed this, scroll back up to the top of the screen and press Save.
Add your Melbourne email account to Outlook 2010
The guide follows settings for a POP configuration which is the most common type of email setup, however if your interested in using an IMAP setup please follow the guide.
- Open Microsoft Outlook 2010.
- Click on the File tab in the top left hand corner.
- Click Add Account , this will will open the ‘Add New Account Wizard’.
- Select the radio button ‘Manually configure server settings or additional server types’.
- Click Next.
- Select the radio button Internet E-Mail and click Next.
- Here a new dialog window labeled Internet Email Settings will open.
- They’ll need to fill out each field in order to get Cloud email up and running.
- User Information:
– Your Name: Simply enter the name you wish to be displayed as, commonly this will be your first and last name.
– E-mail Address: Enter your full email address. (e.g yourname@yourdomain.com). - Server Information:
– Account Type: Select POP3.
– Incoming Mail Server: pop.yourdomain.com.
– Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.yourdomain.com. - You can now either click Test Account Settings or Click Next.
- It’s a good idea to test your account settings to see if your email is working.
- If your email account is configured correctly you will get two green ticks confirming sending and receiving emails are working.
- Simply follow the prompts through the Wizard clicking Next & Finish.
How to Configure MelbourneIT Mail Account in Mac Mail?
Whilst this guide is based around Mac Mail on Yosemite OSX, earlier version of Mac Mail follow similar conventions.
The guide follows settings for a POP configuration which is the most common type of email setup, however if your interested in using an IMAP setup please follow the guide.
Accounts in Mac Mail
- Open up Mac Mail on your platform.
- Click Mail
- Click on the Accounts option.
- Tap Preferences.
- Here you can manage an existing email account or add a new email account.
- If you wish to add a new email account click on the Plus+ symbol.
Add a new email account to Mac Mail
- After following the above instructions and clicking on the + symbol.
Select Other Account. - You will need to enter your full email address & mailbox password then click Create.
- Incoming Mail Server:
– Select POP.
– In the Mail Server field enter pop.yourdomain.com.
– In the username field enter your full email address & enter your mailboxes password in the password, then click Next.
– Enter 110 for your port & ensure authentication is set to password and click Next. - Outgoing SMTP Server:
– In the SMTP Server field enter smtp.yourdomain.com.
– For the username field enter your full email address & your mailbox password then click Next.
– Enter 587 for your port, ensure SSL is unticked. For authentication ensure it is set to password and next click Create. - Fill in all the information below:
– Your Name: Enter your Name
– Email Address: Enter your full email address.
– Incoming mail server: POP = pop.yourdomain.com, IMAP = imap.yourdomain.com
– Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.yourdomain.com
– User Name: Enter your full email address
– Password: Enter your mailbox password
– Incoming Port: POP = Normal 110, SSL 995 and IMAP = Normal 143, SSL 993.
– Outgoing Port: Non SSL = 587, SSL = 465 - Then click on Finish and Save button.
